The ever wonderfull Mt. Talinis. Many climbers were fascinated by the beauty it presents. It is also popularly known as Cuernos De Negros (Horns Of Negros). At about 1903 meters (6243 ft) above sea level, it is considered the second highest mountain in Negros after Mt.Kanlaon. It is located 20km from Dumaguete City. The Cuernos De Negros Mountaineers are the famous group offering guideship on the mountain. Few individuals also offer guideship but most prefer Cuernos De Negros Mountaineers.
Trails
Trails available through the mountain are the following:
*Bediao route - considered the easiest passing through lake yagumyum, lake nailig, kaipuhan sulphur vent, rancho campsite, twin falls and Casaroro falls.
*Apolong route - reversed of the bediao route. Considered moderately challenging starting at Casaroro falls.
*Tembao route - the shortest and most difficult route
*Bongbong route - comparable to tembao route in terms of difficulty and are overlapping with each other
*Lunga route - the longest route
